The red is formulated for the iron and aluminum and copper in the cooling system. It was hard for me to justify but it's something i didn't want to skimp on especially after doing a head gasket job. It's typically only $6-7 more than a Zerex brand anyway. I haven't used that but it may be good enough. The Toyota red is full strength and you need to mix it with distilled water so it's actually cheaper than getting pre mixed red stuff.

Rust free is the big win, I'd say 8-10. I kinda sorta tried to sell mine for a few days locally, asking a lot, but decided to keep it.

Yes I've already come close to selling, but ended up deciding against it as I couldn't bring myself to get rid of it.

I feel like I have to force myself to move on at this point. But they're hard to sell in this area.

How much do you think needs to be put into it for it to be a reliable daily? Does it have A/C?

It’s reliable as-is. I drive it 40 miles a day most days. Doesn’t overheat and always starts up. Just not perfect cosmetically.

Yes the AC and heat work.

It's probably worth about 10-15 K. Does it have lockers?

I don't think I'll ever sell mine. It's just too good and for the capabilities i'd rather just keep it running than spend the money on a 60K rig with the same capabilities.

No F/R lockers. I’m not getting offers for over 10k, but I’m in Arkansas. Maybe it’d be worth it to drive it out west and see what I can get out there.

Anywhere basically west of Denver is definitely a stronger market for these. I see at least 2 others per day, even here in the Bay Area.
