    Well, I suppose a really big guy, or girl, could heft one, swing it and hit you in the head with it! That would certainly kill you! I kinda wish they came in aluminum. I have the 60" and I swear it weighs 400 lbs.

    Are they cast? I would think that would be the only way one would snap. I mean, the one I have feels like a axle off a A1 Abrams tank. I had to turn the thing at the end 90 degrees to get it to fit in the bed. I put the foot forward hoping that will stop it from becoming a missile in the event of a collision. I doubt it will. I plan on putting a hole in the tailgate and running a chain from the axle to it.
