My son's has a lacrosse game next Saturday. We try and make it to all his games. Saturday NAU, Sunday UCLA. It's going to be a weekend of driving. So I'm going to rent a car.

That's awesome. I'm the head coach the women's lacrosse team up here! I love seeing teams come up here to play... They always struggle with the elevation change.

Pretty much all roads are closed, we snow wheeled Schnebly but had to pick the lock.

You should come by next Saturday to NAU. My son is the captain of the UCI men's Lacrosse team. They are also going up north to SF and down to SD this year.

Not only the elevation, the weather also. I hear it might be in the 40's

I think I'll actually be in Phoenix next Saturday for a conference. My girls should be there though haha. I used to have a friend that played for UCI! And another friend that coached the women's team. Sounds like UCI Mens has a busy season though.

40's is perfect weather for us up here to play in

Went out to Grand Falls today. Most people I've ever seen there. Still beautiful views though. Didn't get pictures of the falls, but on the topic of wheeling around Flagstaff, I did get some shots of my daughter and I on a little hill climb:
    IMG_2077.jpg

Last big hill on the right before you cross the Navajo reservation line on Leupp Rd.

    IMG_2073.jpg
    Breezy today.

    IMG_2075.jpg

Here we are parked a little closer. The hill is used as a launch point for hang gliders. The following pictures are from about 2/3 of the way up, directly above my hood/cab.

    IMG_2068.jpg

    IMG_2069.jpg
    Great views!

Leupp Rd. in the background along with cloud covered peaks & Mt. Elden.

It may not look like much from the photos, but it was a pretty decent incline. 4-low is necessary to keep from spinning on the soft Flagstaff cinders. There is another way up that goes to the summit that I want to check out next time.

I'll be driving down Friday night and leaving Saturday afternoon. Do you guys think it will snow?

It's been cooling off a little bit.
Forecast is predicting snow, but not too much while you'll be here.
    Bring a jacket!

I'm a bit torn. I want the snow but I don't want to deal with driving in it.

Driving in & out of it on I-40 won't be bad at all. ADOT uses chemicals to keep it from sticking on the roads. In town could be another story, but if it does snow it will be so little that there won't be too much of an issue aside from slick roads in the mornings. In the a.m. just go slow & give yourself plenty of space and you'll be fine.
