Yes, thanks. I will be there his afternoon, hopefully dried out. The clay gets so snotty and slippery and then hard as concrete no wonder they made houses out of it. Even more fun in a RV.

 

Last year rocky park road,not me! very entertaining, took 4 hours for him to get out.



This is my friend. This high dollar tundra did not go 3" in 4wd with traction control. What a waste of 50K.

 

I figured you were bringing the rv up again which is why I mentioned it. When muddy it’s nasty stuff.

 

Yep, pretty slippery for the Rv. Camping near the freeway tonight, moving as the road dries out tomorrow.

 

I don’t think we have rain in the forecast for the middle. I’m pretty sure this past rain was the last rain! Hopefully it dries out for me.

Anybody else hitting the Overland Expo?

 

Dang, that sucks! That’s a lot of time spent digging through the mud, just to get in stuck! If it was me, I would have broken it up and just camp out stuck! Lol

 

Just got back from Flag. You guys that live here are lucky. There was no-one there, so quiet. still a little snow on top of Morman Mountain. The forest service roads have changed, some look like they were pounded all winter by rains. FR 228 was a nice road....last year. Saw group of 20 elk outside my front door on Wed morning. Great time!

 

How was FR228 this year?

 

Much worse than last year, or better if you like rocks. Took me about double the time, still fun. The road up Mormon Mountain was pretty trashed, but that was my first time so no reference point.

 

Are you in a 2wd?

 

My Taco is 2wd. My toad for "camping" is 4wd. Still looking for a 4x4 taco. So for now I have this.................


I did not need 4wd for fr228 but did for Mormon Mountain.

 

Nice. I got my 2wdOR and a buddy has the sport. So we’re looking for trails up north, and camping along the trail in the woods somewhere so we can hit the Overland Expo in the morning.
