Post up in here if you ever need help or want to get a group together or something. Someone is usually down to head out wheeling, I’m usually working on someone’s truck up here, and a few of us have helped out when people need recovery from a sticky situation

Last weekend I rode my dirt bike up to camp at the grandview tower.
You sure have a pretty back yard.

Currently I am looking at SHHQ in Gilbert and State 48 overland in mesa

You mean a local shop to fabricate you a bumper? Or to install a purchased one for you?

I know @snowsk8air2 has done bumper kits for other folks in Flagstaff (and beyond). He is a busy guy, but his work and welding are excellent. He may be able to help you with a bumper kit.

The two companies you mentioned down in the valley do not manufacture bumpers of their own, but they can install them.

If you are worried about shipping, look into Addictive Desert Designs. They are Phoenix based. And their products are b-e-a-utiful.

Yep I’ve done a few for people. My build thread and IG (ryanpodell) have a bunch of pics scattered throughout them. But like @MR E30 said, I’ve been staying pretty busy. Actually taking September off from big projects to give myself a bit of a break and enjoy myself. And already have stuff booking up for October lol

Pm me and we can start talking. I’ll probably end up placing a materials order towards the end of the month.

been here a month now and loving it! Waaayyyy better that Zion ever was.

Every day is a new walk/hike and there’s sooo many places that is away from all the tourists. Walked 4 miles this eve and saw 2 people the whole time.

Are you on the north or south rim? I just camped the north rim for first time this weekend. Locust point is one of the most beautiful views Ive ever seen! Ive never been to the south rim and would like to see if there is camping with views like this since its so much closer to Flagstaff.

South rim is a waste of time.

    Naw.
I’ll admit that by the visitor center / main entrance it is absolutely miserable.

but the farther east you go the better. I recommend going up hwy 89 and going in the east entrance past Cameron.
Literally less than 1/100th of the people.

if you want I’ll pull up some camp spots I’ve saved

I have spent the last 2 summers in Flag, Always looking for new spots. Limited on location due to class a but not afraid. Currently tucked away 13 miles from pavement.

I would appreciate that greatly. Ive heard rumblings of actually being able to drive down to the water. Do you know anything about that?

Grandview lookout tower is pretty cool, with plenty of dispersed camping available

I know a few places you can drive across the little colorado, and where you can hike down to the confluence, but I dont know of anywhere you can drive down to the canyon
