    @Atl-atl

North Rim is where it is at "Nothing worth having comes easy". South Rim can be exquisite in its own right, but it doesn't match the NR in my opinion.

Locust Point is the best of the 5 popular sites to stay at.

Ride the Rainbow Rim Trail next time you are out there. Nothing technical, can do on a gravel bike if you like, but it can be grueling on a full suspension.

Download AZBDR .gpx file and it has a section west of Cameron that takes you down to the Colorado where you can camp. A small group from the last BDR trip did just that.

No shit hahaha, we literally were like "lets just pick a spot" and locust point is what we picked. We hiked on that trail a little and saw lots of MTBers but didnt have bikes with us. Next time for sure.

Oh snap, this is the kind of stuff I come here for, thank you!!!

Wait, did you guys camp on the Little Colorado or the Colorado? Been scouring the gpx file and I dont see anywhere on the route that you can get down to the (big) Colorado river.

Asked and mostly answered. Y’all have some great info shared.
I’m at S rim, but I do prefer north for the obvious reasons. However, s rim can be touristy but if you know where to go, you can avoid them nearly all day.
I hiked over 8 miles on Saturday and did not see a single person until we exited the other trailhead.

Vehicle access is much different, there’s no camping at or near the S rim.
Tribal lands have somewhat opened and many have closed again, so check ahead before attempting to access the Little CO.

Outside of the VC and the hotels on the rim, it’s quite quiet in the housing area. Daily elk raiding the water out of the bird bath. Bulls are starting to lose their velvet. Fawns are still spotted. And the stars… just amazing!

Did not know the AZ DMV would be so painless.
Needed to get new title and registration for my motorcycle today. Did not do a VIN check or even verify mileage.
I could have just told them the info and that would have sufficed.

I did get in a nice ride from the village to Williams so there’s that …

Back in the 90's when I was in High School my dad took me to the Williams DMV to get my learner's permit (and avoid the cluster f*ck of a DMV in Flagstaff)
It was definitely more laid back than the DMV in Flg.

Question, what tires are you guys running and how do they perform for you offroad up here in N AZ?

I am looking to upgrade from the stock 245 tire to a 265. I ran KO2s on my jeep but am overwhelmed by all the A/T options.

Always loved the Goodyear duratracs and ran them for my last 5 sets of tires. Great all around tire. Currently running the milestar Patagonia Mt and loving them. Wife loves her fallen wildpeaks as well. All great in the snow and done great on other off road applications for us

Haha; boss asked if I had tickets already. I guess we have a few for the shop. But I won’t go unless I have specific reasons or required for work

I'll be at Overland Expo on Sunday just because I've never been despite living here for 4 years. Figure I might as well check it out once
