    we got pulled over for just revving the engine.
    my friend installed NOS and said watch this, he pressed the button with
    his foot off the gas and was revving the engine.
    cop pulled us over. that was years ago. no ticket.
    i guess he was bored.

    The 'lunge' is a different issue entirely. And one that's hard to nail down. My first 3rd gen did it occasionally, my newest 3rd gen hasn't done it once. Some people say it happens when the AC compressor kicks on, which may be true. But either way it's a different issue

    I've had both TSB's and trans fluid checked and my truck still flares on the first shifts of the morning... :(

    How long after you start the truck do you wait to put it in drive and take off? Could have some indication to zero in on the problem. Do you let it isle for a minute or to to just slam and go.
