I went outside and noticed that the flashers were flashing. When I open the door to turn them off I noticed water on the Husky Floor liners. It rained hard last night. I pushed the flasher switch to turn it off but it was off. After three or four pushes on the switch the flashers kept flashing. Also, the beeper was beeping as if the key was in the switch. The battery was low and had to jump it. The flashers and beeper stayed on while the truck was running. I’ve not had any trouble starting it after first jumping it. I unhooked the battery for an hour, but the flashers started flashing and the beeper started beeping as soon as I hooked the battery back up.

Any thoughts? Did water short out something?

And have any of you had trouble with water coming in during a hard rain? I was parked on a hill at an angle with the front and driver side the high point.

Something got wet things might go back to normal when things dry out.

let nature dry things or break out the heat gun

How steep an incline possible water leaked in through the wiper tunnel with enough rain.

Thanks for replying. I placed an electric leaf blower in the floor aimed up into the dash. Hopefully, as you said, things will dry out and go back to normal.

    Any Luck ??

If not about the only thing it could be is the flasher.

The switches being on the steering wheel should not have gotten wet

After running the leaf blowner into the dash for several hours everything is back to normal. I assume the flasher “relay” was wet. I felt up in the dash. It was wet up there. I squeezed the Tacoma into the garage with my wife’s Titan XD until I can get outside and find were the water was leaking into the dash. It’s been rain off and on for several days.

Thanks for checking in on me. I hope everyone is staying healthy.
