Why does the Light shaped like a car with a key inside it always flash when my truck is sitting? It doesn't seem to stop. Seems like it will drain the battery if sitting too long. Locked or unlocked it doesnt matter. And the blue light under the dash flashes a bunch sometimes when locked. also a while back I went in the garage and my truck was making a weird noise close to the rear that sounded kinda like a really small compressor... what the heck was that? It had been sitting about a day.

The sound in the back is the fuel pump. It goes through a system self check. Its normal. The key light is the security system.

How does the security system work.. How is it turned on.. how is it turned off.. What does it do.. I don't have a manual, so don't point me there please haha.

Blue light under the dash? Guessing it's an after market alarm system? Find out for sure and work from there.

The blue light, I dont know what that is. The light with the vehicle and key is the factory security. Its just letting you know its active. Its normal. Wont kill the battery. When you lock the truck it becomes active.
