I'm new to the forum so hello to all. Can someone please tell me what pins in the 14 pin connector control the flashing key/car light in the dash next to the clock? 2011 Tacoma TRD Sport DBL CAB LB. Thanks!

Isn't that the light that signals if the ignition has an immobilizer? What do you want to do with the light?

Yes, it is. It constantly flashes when the key is out of the ignition and stops when you insert the key. I wanted to use that circuit to run an additional flashing light. Just as a visual Deterrent. I figure that if most would be thieves (who know what they're doing)see the factory light, they're more likely to bypass the system and break in. If they think there's an aftermarket system installed , they may be more likely to just move on.

I would like to do the same thing, Extra light on the dash some place may make a POS think twice before doing something stupid. Good idea OP.

Install a fake one that is switched to a constant hot and you can leave the factory immobilizer harness alone. Something like this.

^^ like said above leave factory immo harness alone.

I've installed a couple varad led theft deterrents at the shop and there bright, easy install as well.
3 wires to hook up constant 12volts, ignition and ground. When the key is in the off position the led flashes but as soon as it sees ignition turned on led turns off, no switch required.
