Isn't this where we are supposed to put our flashlights? The thing holding my mag light falls all the time and rattles very bad.

What am I doing wrong? Do yall put your flashlights here?

Yeah ive got a 2d maglite and it's not too bad but I can see how a 3d one would rattler a lot. Search for the maglite mod, that should help you out

I have but not sure I want to drill holes in the seat. It rattles worse after the holder falls. It's terrible.

i put my 3D maglight under my drivers seat between the seat and the console. Stays put, no rattles and is easily accessible.

Not so much, the LED maglites blow the surefires out of the water especially for the price. I have to 2D 5watt led and that thing is blinding. I did the poor mans mag lite mount and out it in my cupholder in the door:cool:

Buy a Surefire and keep it in your pocket. I carry a Surefire E2E with me at all times and have two G2's in the glove box, I also carry 6 extra batteries and one extra bulb in the glove box. Can't beat the pure white light from the Surefire.

I have a brother that swears by the "headlamps". Builds hot rods for a living and has not used a drop light since he discovered these.

i just put a strip of electrical tape in the holder to let the flashlight fit a little more snug and give it a soft surface to hit intsead of plastic, i also put some black rubber matting (used in kitchen drawers) on the bottom of the storage compartment, again softer surface and it grips to stuff to keep it from sliding around...i use it in all my storage compartments.

Your flashlight is too long and hits the bottom. Mine is a 3D LED Maglite and it doesn't touch the bottom of the floor. It hangs at the light end. I keep flashlight, the trailer plug adapter, receiver hitch and ball in an old sock, and a collection of 32 oz. drink cups for refilling all in there. Except for a hard speed bump it's quiet. Maybe an old towel on the floor behind the seat will work.

Great Ideas! Maybe I'll try to put some weather stripping below the flash light to keep it from touching the bottom of the compartment and rattling.
