flashplayer in Facebook

I've asked other people, no one can help me so maybe someone in TW's huge base can. About 6 months (or maybe longer) ago FB stopped playing flash videos for me. I can watch youtube vids in FB but nothing anyone has posted from their own camera...not even my own vids previously posted. I've done all the things I can think of: updated flash, uninstalled/reinstalled flash, updated/checked all my add-ons (I use Firefox but no, IE doesn't play them either so its the computer not the browser), reset computer to an earlier time (although i can now no longer go back to a time when flash actually worked, it's been too long), pretty much everything. Nothing works. Currently flashplayer is uninstalled. I can still watch videos everywhere else online, just not on FB. When i click play on a video someone has posted, it does that 'loading' thing, but nothing ever happens. Sometimes it does nothing at all, just goes to a black screen in the video box. Any ideas?
