I am looking for recommendations on replacement leaf springs for my 2004 Extra Cab 4WD Tacoma. I've seen them from $120 - $599 each.

Do you want just stock replacements or are you looking for more lift or load carrying capacity?

Stock replacements or something a little beefier for load carrying but no additional lift. I have a 2" lift and if I lift the back more its going to look bad....or i'll have to get another lift

If you're not lifting with the leaf springs then you must have blocks in the rear? Personally, I'd ditch those and get a leaf pack that will give you 2" of lift...will ride much better.

@Wheeler's Off-Road Inc has a few options for 1st gens, maybe they can chime in and help you out. A little more on the pricey side compared to some others, but quality stuff. I'm looking at a used local set of All Pro standard leaf springs right now, but if it doesn't go through then I'm going to save up for a set of Wheeler's myself.

I don't have blocks, I have buckles that attached from my springs to my chassis. So, your right, I could get 2" from the springs and ditch the buckles.

Ah I see, yeah either way I think it would ride better if you lifted via the springs.

Wheeler's sells the OME springs for the '04 taco that provide 2.25" lift - Also their own springs that do 2" - The OME are half the price, I've heard good things about both.

Then there's All Pro...the have a standard duty set (stock load capacity) and an Expo set for hauling more weight, they're good for 3" of lift though. I think the Expo will give you closer to 4" if you don't carry any weight on them, would need extended brake lines for those most likely.

THANKS eon_blue!!! I have the CS046Rs with bushings and u-bolts in the cart ready to order. I have to go home and find my original shackles before I place the order.

 glad I could help, I'm jealous because I want to do new springs too but I can't bring myself to commit to one or the other just yet lol. Might get the used set of All Pro's this weekend but now I'm thinking it might be better to just spend an extra couple hundred on a brand new OME set....decisions decisions

Let us know how they work out!
