Can confirm that they are all flat from the factory. Go take a walk around your local toyota dealer. Toyota vehicles come flat leafed from the factory. Don't worry too hard about it

depends which part is pointed downward, adding pics is the way to get help in this case. If adding a permanent weight to the bed, or even significant temporary weight- a new properly sized leaf pack is the right way to go with these trucks. They were designed for comfort, not hauling.

I've installed tons of different packs and add a leafs but the only leafs I have personal experience with on my own truck is o.m.e. dakars and chevy 63's. While the dakars were great I just didn't have the weight in the bed to get them to flex out like I wanted. I've heard great things about Alcan and Deaver. Could probably give them a call and they can set you up

do you think I can get away with using these old ones for another year? I don't have the money rn for new leaf packs but will be keeping my eye out now that I know.

You should be good. You could browse Facebook market place / Craigslist and find some cheap takeoffs for a temporary relacement too in the meantime. Lots of people upgrade from factory packs and sell them for fairly cheap

How much load are on yours? I have around 400lbs on my Tacoma and am noticing a bit of a negative arch and suspension sag, which im debating whether to address by replacing the leaf pack or just shimming it for now.

    The rough figures are
    Skids (110#)
    Sliders (140#)
    Hard tonneau (100#)
    Yakima rack (85#)

It's sitting a bit low but it's most pronounced on the driver's side.
When parked on concrete, the passenger side hub center is a bit higher then the center of the CV output and the drivers side hub center sits around 1/2" higher. There's also a hair of negative arch on the driver's side rear leaf spring.

I'm planning on getting steel bumpers and a winch in 6 months or so, so I'm trying to puzzle out what I want to do with the 6112s sitting in my garage waiting to be installed as that will drastically change the weight load out.

The 6112s are pretty easy to adjust or slap another spring in, although I want to do something about the rear at the same time, ideally not buying a $600 component I'd only be using for 6 months until I add more weight.

I also guess I could just do that up front now as I don't really like reusing u bolts.

The Icon RTXs are nice, as they come with 3 stages,,, of course changing them won't be fun. I have them and like them,, their one drawback is the squeak, it doesn't bother me, but does some.

I have 250+ of weight right now with my RXTs set to three. I called Alcan and they are custom making new leafs for the added weight (also planned weight in the future of a RTT). For anyone adding serious weight, I’d do more research and call Dakar or Alcan and see what they say.

What I'm thinking of doing is ordering a set of the wheelers progressive AAL,
I would then buy the front body armor bumper, winch and light bar now, installing the AAL + front 6112s and setting them for the current weight.

I'm still going to be getting a rear body armor bumper in the future, but the weight of that will be offset a bit when I swap from a hard tonneau + rack to Alucab contour

I'm thinking this will be the most efficient approach and minimize the number of times I need to mess with the springs and or get alignment.

Would 1.5~ of lift warrant a carrier bearing drop/shim?
