    I originally wanted to do drop sides but ended up going with more of a rub rail with integrated tie down points. I liked the flexibility I got with the rub rail - it’s easy to build accessories that just clamp on or fit in the stake pockets.


    That said, I bet with more design time I could have gotten both.

    best part about a drop side is you can still have stake pockets. Remove the 3 bed sides and youre good to go

    I went for lengthwise unistruts, they double down as part of the flatbed structure and tie down points with unistrut nuts. Haven't used them yet, but seem to be exactly what I need.

    My idea is to build drawer boxes which I can then move around if needed. There's also threaded eye hooks for light duty tie down.

    I like that quite a lot, unistrut is good stuff. Looking forward to seeing how it works out. What are the tie down points rated for?
