Lol I’m just thankful all these resources exist. Wouldn’t even know where to start with the electrical on this truck. Between the fj swap and the add delete and now speed stuff, this site and people like @6 gearT444E make it much easier!

    Little update:

    Just added some of these

They didn't work on @Shveet bumper so I got them for mine. The relentless fab bumper does come with some decent brackets, but the C4 brackets tie into the sway bar mounts and are just beefier.

Also, figure I would finally add these into here.

    Meet Dana and corporal

I have also finished the LCA, they are painted, and just need to have the ball joint and bushing pressed in.

Ended up welding a small skid plate, and beefing up the pivots connected to the frame. Just need the front end to hold together for 5 years while I build axles.

ironically, a 14 bolt axle is still probably the cheapest way to get disc brakes in a tacoma lol

I just meant discs on a Tacoma. The rear disc swaps are pretty pricey.

not to sure to be honest. Right now, I can run 37’s on 4.88’s, so 5.29’s may be the ballpark for 38-40’s.

This year the focus is going to be stripping the axle and get trusses welded on.

I have this for the Dana 60 and the 14 bolt will just have a center pinion support and small truss

So after last years break, I had to replace some parts.

Switched from the spc uppers to the dirt king for the “over the counter” ball joints from moog.

Lowers are rebuilt, and beefed up with whitline bushings and trw ball joints.

Got Elka 2.5’s shocks with the 700lb coils.

Got one side done today while it was below zero. Wind was brutal but half way there.
(Don’t mind the Instagram tags....it’s all for the gram right)

Tomorrow I’ll be doing the passenger side which will be interesting since the OME shock is blown real bad. Hoping the shock doesn’t come apart while uninstalling.

Single? Lol Karoline is now my fiancé. Very lucky that she is into this hobby and supports my madness. Will be 14 years together in May.

yeah I didn’t want to risk not having sun some time in the next few days. So figured one side is done just in case.

Forgot to ask and I'm curious as to why you want away from the spc uppers? I have spc uppers and is there something I should be aware of?

Nice! It went pretty smoothly. Really only had one bolt be an issue so far. Mind you everything was apart not too long ago. Be sure to get throb blaster out
Nope. I only changed out as I wanted to have more readily available parts. With the dirt king (camburg arms are the same too) I can simply go to Napa and get ball joints. This isn’t a problem if you are diligent with inspections and can catch something before it is an issue. You can order the parts prior to it being a big enough issue the truck is down. I found myself waiting close to a month for spc bushings and specialized parts are always more then a week versus a day or so at Napa.

unfortunately, I seem to find myself just jumping in the truck and going rather then doing frequent checks. Something I’m trying to get better at. Sucks when you are limited to working on the vehicle based on the weather and when the light is outside.

Got it all done! Just have to fixed the cam bolts on the side I did yesterday. Thought I maxed out the caster but had it setup completely backwards. So caught it in time and just have to redo one side. Lol.
