On my build the stock plumbing should work, the is an useless brace on the flatbed that is preventing the lines from getting to the hole that I've cut into the side of the wall.

I am modifying a plug and play trailer harness kit for the tailights.

Ive been waiting a long time to make this post. Time to whip it out. Rolled it, did a cab swap and finally finished my flatbed. Almost a year to the day from when i rolled it, shes finally looking good again.

Here's another entry. I've got the frame and mounts done, working on underside drawer and taillight placement before I start welding in the bed support. I've run into some issues with the gas filler nozzle placement. The bed is raised a total of six inches off the original bed mounts; I had intended to rotate the filler nozzle 180 degrees and install it into a plated box closer to the cab, so all that would need modification would be a longer breather hose. Once I test fit the bed on the frame I think that the oem filler hose does not have the right angle to have gas flow into the tank from the position I wanted. I will have to research some other options for filler hose shape. Any suggestions are welcome!

I see you have an Outback as well.

I am mounting my filler neck above the bed floor. Have to shorten the metal pipes and replace with longer/flexible fuel lines.

Seen it in person on a Jeep Gladiator. It looks great, but watching it drive away, you could see the stress on the truck with the Smartcap system being extremely heavy due to its stainless steel construction. They said it was only 850lbs, (with a canopy) but I would be shocked if that was true. I'm excited to see more on trucks though!

I was wondering why you didn't get any, or is that because you're going with a half canopy?

Ah the outback, the maytag fridge of the auto world.
I’m having a hard time with the filler neck, I just don’t have enough space with a 6 inch bed height from frame.
