@bijick I have done 2 swaps now, it's not that bad, the only complicated part is hooking up the power steering, heater core, and you have to get custom ac lines and some swaps you have to get custom drive shafts made, some you dont

@jsutter, I take the fill housing out, use a carbide reamer to take out the anti siphon plate, and reinstall.

Ok so I am starting my transition on the bed towards vehicle based living. What yall think about making something like this? gray is solar panel, orange is a set of larger TREDS. I would put a arb awning on one side or the other. I already have a second battery under tray. Eventually I would like to learn how to sew and make oil canvas sides for it.

My tax return was much much larger than I anticipated, time for some upgrades, power wise and to the bed. What should I do?

The first thing I am getting are these

    s-l1600.jpg

They are only 80 bucks, shipping would be cheaper if I ordered more, anybody want some?

I noticed a lack of storage on your bed the other weekend.

If you build it out like the above photo, are you ditching the toolbox, too?

Very high probability. I will bolt the fridge freezer where the tool box is now.

There is gonna be a center console fridge, bit its very small. So i though i would do a bed mounted stainless steel fridge freezer combo. Remember I am not just camping, I am gonna live out of it. Since food is the limiting factor, I figure it would be benefit me to store as much as possible. As far as washing clothes, every two weeks fork out some cash and spend a few days at a real campground with a washer and dryer. I will mount an inverter behind the seats and only turn it on when I really really need it. I have an idea for an air conditioner for tent too but I am not gonna disclose that information yet.

I was gonna make a solar powered cooler air conditioner, but it will only last about 2 hours and will be out of ice.

Well I got seats and fridge installed, write up with pics coming later.

with my recent water action, I noticed the airbox wasn't sealing worth crap. The afe filter was too long, and the edges were riding on the lid lip instead of the inner lip like the stock filters do. So I trimmed about a 1/4 inch off both ends with some scissors. Now it rides all snug down in it like the stock one.
    20180427_170307.jpg
While it wasn't allowing dirt in the top past the filter, it still allowed dirt and water into the lower part of the box.

Now I am gonna rput it all back together and test with the blower and a rag. If it still doesn't pass, I have some more tricks up my sleeve.
