what are you going flex seal?

 

I'm an ICU nurse and flexi seal is a "fecal managment system". I initially thought we were reviewing these. Seemed kinda strange, but was curious what you thought.

 

Substitute for plasti-dip or bed liner maybe???

 

nothing.... I saw the commercials on tv for it and thought it might be handy to have a can on hand for any reason.

 

well I guess you could use flex seal for that just seal everything up no muss no fuss

 

I know this thread is old, but I keep some in the ammo can of goodies on long hunting/camping trips in case I need to "temporarily" repair a cut CV boot. I used it once to temporarily seal an inner boot that was cut until I found the time to use my lifetime warranty on my axles. I refuse to ever replace a boot again, major PITA! It held up for a few weeks but I wouldn't trust it long term. FYI I cleaned the boot 1 rib over in each direction with denatured alcohol to allow for a good mating surface.

 

Used this stuff to fix holes in a corrugated roof. Works fine, but not much better than any competitors product. The black worked better than the clear

 

kinda overrated but does what its meant to do.

 

I sealed a cheap tool box on my work truck to prevent water from seaping in from underneath. It has worked great so far but it was a little more expensive than I expected.

 

Anyone use this for after cab mount chop care like on the pinch wield ?

 

Yep we use it and we have done 50.

 

True story I once worked in a circus tent it wasn't a real circus, but a circus none the less. This tent had a steal frame and water would come up under the bottom of the frame into the tent. Some of the performers would complain to the manager. One day the manager comes out and sprays a can of flex seal around the area where the water gets in. You can't stop gravity with any thing found in a can, but I commended the manager for trying to do something instead of nothing.

 

Recommended or use something else?

 

Works great to seal pinch weld

 

FlexiSeals are one of the most incredible tools to our disposal as nurses. Getting one to not leak whatsoever isn’t always as easy.. but can be done.

 

Apparently you can make a boat out of it
