    This^

But seriously. I have them. My shock hoops are bent, still have to make shock tabs for the hoops. the shocks are 14's so im still contemplating on how im going to mount them, I don't drive it much without other than right around town or 2-3 miles round trip to pick up steel.

Truck sits rather low around 23" on these 32's so theres not much uptravel and im also waiting on the tires to get here so I can decide where to place the bumps in relation to the shocks bottoming out

^Yeah, you're right. But, also having the longer spring makes the IFS flex better too. I get 2.5" of lift with my coilovers almost all the way down so there's almost no preload on the springs at ride height.

I guess that's what I was trying to tell Mark. If he gets a 16" 500 lb spring and appropriately sized shock, he can have a cheap and functional setup!

The grille and part of a frame & body are, but still a lower belly height on bigger rubber. That's what this was right?

Jeep frames are much different shape than taco frames, they sweep down much more between the axles. Hell, I was cheating comparing a 2nd gen to a first gen. :D

And CG height is what actually matters, not merely belly height. ;) Otherwise...bodylift:puke:

CG was not being discussed, belly height was. Wow, that sounded more dickholish than I thought. I'm just having some fun with numbers here. You are right CG is much more important. The "jeep" with no top, just cage, a low slung LT4, SM465 and flipped 300 has a pretty low CG. Agreed, BLFTMFL. Just for shits and giggles went and measured the Tacoma's frame and the jeeps frame. Without pulling a string, they both sat right around 7" from the bottom of the frame to the highest point over the axle.

Damn! That front end looks pretty good!!
I have the 600?620? Lb eibachs.
I was hoping that with a winch and skids they work better? But that might be a dream.

Konsta came to Boise for a bit to sell some tires and brought his SAW coil overs and tempted me with them, that asshole. I just don't have the money for them now.

I think the key for my wheel travel is the fact that I'm using non-preloaded 16" coils instead of the standard 14" coil. My theory is that, if you buy regular 16" springs with 1st gen tundra 5100 shocks, you'll get the same travel for WAY cheaper than most coilovers. If I was you, I'd check into 16" 500lb eibachs. You can probably snag them for $150-$200.

Hmm. That's pretty sweet. So that's what you have? 1st gen tundra 5100s and 16" 500lb coils? With that winch and skids what's your lift look like? I need every inch of clearance I can get, so it would be awesome to keep it at 3"

^I've got 600lb springs but I've got full skids and the winch. If I didn't have that extra weight, I'd do the 500 or 550# coils. But yeah, I'm running 1st gen Tundra 5100s (with the Toytec build-your-own coilover setup) and 16", second gen taco springs.
