    ive always wanted to try that obstacle! its just a hell of a long ways from the launch pad on poison spider. i normally turn around after that.... never done golden spike.

    Golden spike is one of my favorite trails. It's Loooong but worth it. The "crack" is not a difficult obstacle. Pretty much just get on the line and drive across. It flexes you hard but as long as you have one locker it's a cake walk. There are quite a few fun obstacles on that trail.

    I don't have pics of it but I was able to make double whammy for the first time in my tacoma on that trip after 6-7 trips on that trail in my FJ40. I'm sure wheelbase had something to do with it. Some good pucker spots on that trail too. I two wheeled for a bit on this one and if my driverside front slipped downhill at all it would have gone over. Fun stuff.

    liftin my leg up...getting some measurements for new rear shocks....

    18 collapsed eye to top mount, 26 extended....OME is 14 collapsed 24 extended...so found out that my ome shocks were in fact limiting my down travel

    Mine is like this as well, i cant get the rear tire off the ground for nothing...im always scared its going to stretch my rear brake line :eek:

    I removed the swaybar (since put it back on for road use). I also added 1.5" shock extensions to the back as well as an add a leaf from ToyTec.
    That's sitting at about all it will go before the tire comes off the ground. The brake line is pretty tight yes, I was watching it close but I did not feel it was bent too much at that point. I plan to change it out with a longer one if I go wheel much more...
