Noticed this flicking noise and sound reminds me of a baseball card in the spokes of a bike. Sound appears to alter when the ac fluctuates. Someone suggested it could be a bearing or some component of the compressor.

Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.

Don’t know how to upload video so using Imgur for the time being

Have you dropped the blower fan to clear any possible debris? I had some leaves in mine one time and it made a similar sound.

    FLlCKING noise huh?

Sounds normal listening to it on my Klipsh PC speakers, typical Toyota truck engine tick. :notsure:

And I don't think there's a way to upload a video directly to TW.

Mine sounds the same and I’ve always heard that our engines just make typewriter noises but run for a long time. If it hasn’t gotten louder recently then I wouldn’t worry about it.

Thanks. I just replaced the cabin air filter and that was littered with leaves and debris. I’ll check out some YouTube’s on the blower next, is it the fan or the motor you’re talking about.

Mmmm not 100 on the technical terms but I think it’s a motor fan combo. The bottom part has the motor and the fins are attached to that. All one unit.

it’s located on the passenger side behind the glove box. One bolt, you should be able to drop the fan in 5 minutes or less. Super easy.

as others have mentioned this truck does seem to have a light tik, if you post the video on YouTube and attach the link we will be able to see it.
