flip flop sandals with pants? wtf?

First off their called Top-siders

and pants with sandals is perfectly acceptable. I go with sandals at all times unless working out or working.

I guess its a Florida thing

Sperry's etc are more comfortable and look a shit ton better IMO.

 

yeah I think it is more of a Coastal area thing.. getting sand in your shoes completely sucks.. so yeah it is either sandals or steel toed work boots here.. no in between

 

In Hawaii... wearing shoes is considered "dressing up"
And we call em slippers, not flip flops

 

Plus our feet no stink and we no get athletes foot like all you poor souls that where your shoes all the time.

 

FLIPIDY FLOPIDY!!!!!!!!!!! x2 on the sandals all the time except when wearing the boots everyday for work.

 

I got in the slipper habit while stationed in Honolulu. When the wife visits family there, she brings me back a few pair.

I dont have a problem with flip flops. But with pants? Cmon...... lol

 

I hate shoes too ... wear baseball cap, shorts and beach type flip-flops (not sandals) all year long. Am brand loyal to certain Columbia's too.

Plus, we have a rule in the house ... EVERYONE ... takes shoes off at front door and no shoes in the house.

FWIW ... flips flops and long pants are ..... hummm .... not for me.

PS ... When I lived in Canada & Finland ... I used to run in flip-flops in good weather ... and in the winter snow wearing low cut Kaufman Sorel boots & shorts ... down to about 15-F.

Shoes I hate more than Sandels are the ones that have separate fingers for your toes.not sure what they are called.people say they are really comfy, but don't look like they are. I guess it's just that they are very strange to me

 

Got a couple pairs of slippers. Got my $5 pair of Locals for going to the beach, then i got a pair of Reefs for when I wanna get fancy.

 

flip flops are just easier sometimes than slippin on my boots

 

I wear shorts and hoodies in the winter. It dosnt get very cold out here though.

Not really hiking boots but suitable for wearing around camp or beside the river.
Nothing guy about, here in socal, I wear them 10 months out of the year.

Used to live in Hawaii, so they are slippers to me...not flip-flops....mostly forced to buy the ones at Walmart here in Arizona. They are somewhat spongy but get the job done, what I wouldn't do for a pair of "locals".....as for wearing with jeans, he if you making a quick trip out make for fast footwear.
As for running in them, it's a learn art from locals in Hawaii but trust me once you learn you can run pretty fast in slippers.

 

When I'm not at work I'm in flip-flops/slippers; I hate shoes.

 

I work for a University & once saw a student in a blue suit wearing flip flops going for an interview in my building.
