I'm about to purchase a FlipPac that was on a 95 Ford Ranger. I measured bed/shell width, cab height and bed/shell length and I believe it will fit on my 98 taco access cab.

My concern is the width, the ranger inside bed width is 54.5"
Taco minimum inside bed width is 57", the max is 60" - so the bed "rail" is 3" wide.
The FP minimum inside width is 59", the inside max is 63" - "rail" is 4" wide.
It seems there would only be 1" to fit the FP on.

My question to FlipPac owners is this: anyone fit one from a mid to late 90's Ford Ranger, onto to a 1st gen? What installment or fit issues (if any) did you have?

If you could reply soon that would be great, I don't want to let this get away if it will fit.
    Thanks everyone!

I didn’t get a chance today to look but only briefly, looks like a ton of info. I’ll try tomorrow, thanks

I decided not to buy it, I didn’t like the cracks in the fiberglass around the torsion bar. It could be nothing, could be structural damage - I really don’t know.
I put the link below if anyone is interested $2100
