I just want to verify the noise I'm hearing isn't just my floating brakes.

If I back up in a turn, I should not hear the "floating brake" noise until I apply brakes, right?

The noise I hear is heard without engaging the brakes. The floating brake noise will only happen when I hit the brakes, rigtht?

The floating brake noise I hear is when I back out of the driveway and apply the brakes prior to putting into drive, it's only at the point of brake application. I then hear it a second time the very first time I apply my brakes going forward. That's what I always thought of the floating brake noise, but may be different?

Do you hear the same noise if not turning as you hear turning? Assuming you hear no noise going forward slowly and turning? Leading to a chattering rear diff type of issue.

Nah, the noise is only when turning and it happens whether I apply the brake or not. Alright then, that isn't it. (Damn....)

So if only when turning, do you hear it going forward turning at lower speeds as well or only reverse? I think the rear diff would chatter forward or back. How many miles? rear diff fluid replaced at any time? just started doing this?

Ended up taking it in because it got past my shade tree skills and also sounded way worse today.

Apparently a "piece of the suspension" was "bent" and knocking against the frame when the steering was in certain positions. The guy who called me said I could talk to the tech, because he didn't remember what part it was. I'm just hoping it's all fixed now :D
