I'm looking to buy a floor jack to work on my truck. I have a 3" lift with 33s. My stock bottle jack does not lift the front end high enough to get the wheels off.

How high should a floor jack go in order to work properly? Most I see are 18"-20" lift heights. Project Eagles are around 25", but are $400+.

Not sure I want to spend that much for a floor jack. I'd like to be around $200 with jack stands....but the pro Eagles do look nice!

Thanks in advance for any information!

I would suggest a 3 ton floor Jack from Harbor Freight. 3-ton Jack-stands cost about $25-$30 from them to for a pair.

Got it for Christmas sitting in the garage waiting for the next oil change and tire rotation

Couple pieces of 2x4 for your stock jack. That’s what I did

I get a 4x4block or a 6x6 block and put it on top of the jack pad. Ive been using the harbor freight jack for over 15years.

I have the Harbor Freight #64240.
My only complaint is the front axle is a little tweaked. I only get three wheels that make contact. I use a piece of a conveyor belt under the short wheel.

My HF purchases have been a crap-shoot for reliability, especially hand-tools that China casts from pot-metal. For anything I'm going to use often I don't go HF. YMMV

I use a harbor freight 2ton. And 3ton jackstands, although I’d probably get higher and stronger stands next time since they are pretty cheap.

With LT I bought pro eagles jack pad and adjustable jack spacer. Can now lift from 4”-30”.

I use, used to use a 3 1/2 ton craftsman that came with 2 jack stands and a 6" or 8" extension. the jack itself has a 20" reach. It was just over $100 if I remember correctly. Got the front lift put on today, went to put on the aal and it won't lift now. But it's supposed to be rebuild able. Hope this helps some.

Used these to install my lift and they work great. Thanks to @EatSleepTacos for the recommendation.
