Looking at Husky liners for front I see two models: X act contour and Weatherbeater. Anyone have either of these? Good carpet protection from snow and road salt? How bout the Weathertech model? I have weathertechs on my 2010 Matrix and am not that happy with them...melting snow is not contained very well and carpets get wet! It also appears that they don't overlap the door sill like the Huskys do. Thanks.

Normally I went with the weather-techs but the husky weather-beaters had more coverage area for the same or less money. after 5 yrs, they've held up great, no holes or damage of any kind.

this is how much my Weathertechs overlap. I'm pretty happy with them. I was tossed between Husky and these but found a great deal on a used set of Weathertechs on here so I went that route

on the 4runner and tacoma we went with WT but its best you get them in the summer, otherwise they are so rolled up and will not unfurl correctly unless they get very warm. they are very stiff for a pliable mat

the WT have a better coverage on the dead pedal area compared to the husky x-act but the husky are way more pliable and unfurl alot easier in colder temps. i went with the husky when we traded in the tacoma for the tundra and will be moving from WT to husky when the 6th gen 4runner comes out.

I have the Husky x-act and am extremely happy with them. The material is amazing compared to Weathertech and is much more pliable without being too bendy. My gf rides with no shoes alot and tells me how comfortable the mat is.

The ridges help keep liquids and dirt/debris contained and also prevent your feet from having to sitting in what they’ve contained. Dead pedal coverage is fantastic, and is one of the reasons I upgraded from the Maxliners that came with the truck. The whole pedal is enveloped.

My dad has Weathertechs in his F150 and is looking to get some Huskys after sitting in my truck. Highly recommend the Husky x-acts!

I’ve owned Weatherfails, and Husky Xact Fits. Will always own the Husky Liners from now on. Better fit, finish, and coverage.

I have the husky x acts and they are the way to go. Weathertechs are super hard like cheap plastic can warp and leave gaps. X act have a softer rubber compound and when the inside of your truck heats up from the sun they will form exactly to the floor

I’ve had both. Husky X-act is much better fit and IMO nicer. If there is a big price difference and money is important buy the cheaper one. If close to the same price, Husky X-act.

I have Husky Weatherbeaters and I love them. I liked the design on the weatherbeaters better than the x acts so I went with them.

    Like, so many.
I've been really please with my WTs, but they are both good. You'll be happy with either!

Sadly, for all their advertising Weathertech is slipping. Rather than stick with what the did well they branched out. Typical result is quality slipping on their core products.

The Husky's are the better quality product... more of a rubber compound than WeatherTech's.... more traction when the weather is wet, etc.
WT's feel cheaper, but are the same $$.....

Went with the Husky X-Act; been happy with them since march. I'd say just see which is on sale/deal and get that. I don't think you can go wrong between husky and weathertech.

I hated WTs on the fiance’s chrysler, she bought them for me as a surprise and i was kinda like “oh no” but i have been pleasantly surprised. They fit a lot better and secure pretty well. In my AC i don’t have any noticeable gaps or anything. Like others have stated they are more hard plastic, than rubber.

I have a set of WT up front, and a Husky in the rear area. I might switch over to Husky in the front, but they both get the job done. Keep an eye out for Group buys and discounts.

I went with Gator (https://www.amazon.com/Gator-79615-...603809499&sprefix=tacoma+gator,aps,171&sr=8-5) based on someone's recommendation on here. I believe they are made by Husky, and they certainly look similar. They fit *pretty well* but I had to trim the center hump in the back to make it fit flat. But otherwise they are nice and they dig into the carpet well so they're quite secure. I probably would just get the Husky if I was doing it again -- having to trim it, even though it was pretty easy, is inexcusable given how precise these things are these days.
