    Historic plates and 2 bar
Bolt through the cab floor. Easy peasy.
Check for wires & fuel lines though

I'm ordering a set of the OEM's since they are cheap and available. Thanks for the help!

Am I correct that these just secure thru the grommet in the carpet? I was thinking there was an actual hole in the floor of the cab that the holder went into. No such hole in my cab floor...

Just go to the dealership and ask for one they will give you it.

The sliding around is why whether tech is junk, go for the Huskies and the pokey things

I've already got the hook. Just asking if it is supposed to go into the floor of the cab or just through the grommet in the carpet. As far as I can tell the floor is solid. I do wish the Weather Tech's had the spikes on the back!

I believe the hook presses into a plastic piece that is built into the factory carpet. Generally its the piece in the carpet that gets broken and lost under the carpet somewhere leaving the hook useless. ( least thats been my experience)

*I think because of that floormat moving under the pedal saga Toyota dealt with, Any customer that asks for one/replacement gets the hook

    My solution:
Clip, Floor Mat 08210-00820.jpg <<<---Clip Comes with instructions. This is the NEW design. In the photo, the UPPER part inserts into the MIDDLE part after the MIDDLE part is inserted into the hole in the FLOOR, to keep it spread and secure. The LOWEST piece sticks up through the CARPET and the FLOOR MAT, with the hook facing the rear of the vehicle.
Bostitch Grommet Kit.jpg<<<---Grommet kit comes with tools and instructions
Clip, Floor Mat, Installed in CARPET (5).jpg <<<---Grommet installed in CARPET, Floor Mat Clip secured in "hole" in floor UNDER carpet.
Clip, Floor Mat, Installed in generic WeatherTech Floor Mat (2).jpg<<<--- Second grommet installed in ANY Floor Mat, aligned to the grommet in the carpet.
This is the generic, trim to fit, WeatherTech Floor Mat sold at Costco and Auto Parts Stores.

Clip, Floor Mat, OLD STYLE.jpg <<<---This is the OLD style clip, and looks like the one supplied by WeatherTech. DO NOT USE THIS STYLE!

Checked mine this afternoon and it definitely feels like it's only attached to the carpet and not the floor.

Nope, not needed. My Huskies stay put very well without a hook.
