Yeah, I would definatly get the Weather Techs. I got some husky liners. They do a good job of keeping the truck clean, but they are overpriced considering the material they use.

I bought a 2010 this week and no floor mats. I just bought a set from Walmart for eight bucks, but I'm going to get some WeatherTechs soon. No mention of floor mats on the sticker.

I would highly recommend Weather Tech. They are worth every $$$. I am in military and always wear nasty big boots, these get my truck really messy quick. Weather Tech keep all the dirty and snow inplace.

I brought home a 2010 Tacoma PreRunner TRD Offroad today with mats installed. There was a lable attached stating the following:

Caution: Do NOT cut the plastic ties used to fasten the floor mat in place.

This driver's floor mat must remain semi-permanently fastened in position until further notification from Toyota Motor Satels, USA>

    • Floor mat must be retained using original retention clips.
    • Do not install a floor mat on top of an existing floor mat.
There are a number of little plastic ties securing the floor mat. Looks okay to me. I guess this was a way to address the floor mat "problem".

    The window sticker states:

CF Carpet Floor Mats & Door Sill Protector 199.00

this is what went along with the sticker I quoted above.

Sucks to be you. I purchased my truck on the 2nd of Nov and I got mine. Here are the pics (and of course the stupid method they think will hold the mats in place) They used the same plastic tabs that are used to put price tags on clothes.

If I were you I would take a look at your window sticker, because iirc the floor mat option is like $199.

Long story short, but when I bought my truck, all of the Tacoma's on the lot had carpeted floor mats for $199. I told the sales manager that we live in Alaska, and I'm not spending $199 on something that is going to be removed as soon as I drive it off the lot. He told me that Toyota sends all of their Tacomas to Alaska with carpeted floor mats, and I replied telling him that Toyota has obviously never spent a winter and breakup season in Alaska. He knocked the $199 off the price of the truck and even let me drive away with the fancy schmancy carpeted mats. :D
