I'm looking for all-weather floor mats for new 2014 Tacoma Double Cab. I have a couple questions.

    1. I am looking for experiences with the 1-piece rear mat (like WeatherTech's DigitalFit that covers entire rear floor) vs the standard design of one mat behind each seat. (Images are from WeatherTech's site and therefore not examples of the mats in a Tacoma.) If you spill something or get excess mud/snowmelt on the rear 1-piece mat, how easy or difficult is it to remove it to clean it, without spilling onto the carpet?

    2. Any thoughts on the materials used for both mats? A stiffer hard surface like the DigitalFit vs the thick more flexible rubber of the other? Does the DigitalFit composite alter at all in extreme weather? It gets down to -20 on occasion and I want to know if it the DigitalFit curls up at all.

    Thanks!

The one piece is a little tricky to remove without spilling anything unless you have someone to help you and take your time. I've only owned the one piece so I can't comment on the other.

I think you'd be happier with the Weathertechs in case you have more than 2 people riding in the back seat.

Ive been researching this as well. Just bought my first tacoma 2 weeks ago, and have been going back and forth between the digital fit and regular all weather Weathertech mats.

I'm about to just get the all weather ones, I don't really see a need for the digital fit, kind of overkill to me. Plus the big edges on them got on my nerves when I had to drive a car with them in it.

I got the Weathertechs as a present from my wife, and couldn't be happier with them.

They fit my truck very well.

For spills, when paper towels aren't enough, I usually bust out the shop-vac. Never had an issue with liquid spilling over onto the carpet.

If you are interested in the materials themselves, call WeatherTech customer service or email them and they are happy to send samples both the DigitalFit and the thicker rubber Mats.

I have the digital fit weathertechs in front and 1 piece in back and love them. Pricey but worth it. Tough as hell and easy to clean.

My sibling went into a Toyota dealer and asked about the Weathertech floor mats and was told that the front mat can interfere with the pedals. Anyone have any experience with that? I would assume that its a load of BS from the sales person but I would like some input from those who have them.

I had the all-weather ones and I wasn't very impressed with the material. My left heel (I have a manual transmission) wore a hole through the mat in a couple years.

I have had them for over a year now. Never have had an issue with interfering with the pedals. Have been very happy with them.

Its not that the digital fit liners can interfere, they do interfere, but only with the clutch on MT trucks. About 30 seconds with a pocket knife and the problem is solved. Doesn't hurt the effectiveness of the liner at all.

    Hi all.

I just ordered a set of digital fits. When I bought my taco 2 and a half years ago my dealership had the Weathertechs advertised in plain sight - I wasn't interested at the time. I was in there a few days ago and wanted to price a set of Weathertechs and they don't deal in them any longer. I got the impression that even though there have been no specific issues with Weathertechs, Toyota would rather not deal with any aftermarket parts that are anywhere near the gas pedal.

    I didn't hesitate to order a set online ...

    Cheers
    Ray.

I did my homework before buying my 2015. I deleted the mats altogether, saved some bucks there to apply toward my Weathertech digifits. Lot of guys don't think of that until after they take delivery and then try to sell their rugs or all weathers.

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
I've owned digi-fits since 2006, I highly recommend them. Do they interfere, absolutely not, do they curl up, no, actually once they get good and hot they fit even better.

I went one further and removed the black plastic grommet where they lock down, put the oem rubber mats on top, and fastened through both for a great fit and look.

imo, you cannot go wrong with them. My 2006 had them in it until I traded it at 175k and I resold the liners, they still looked great.
