I second this, I went with Tuxmat. Looks "less rugged" than some ruberized ones but the coverage is soooooo good. They fit perfectly.
Its like a rubber outside with dense foam inside I think? I had to trim some to fit my seat jackers with the front panel with an element fire extinguisher.
I have had them about a year now and they have been great, no issues or excessive wear or anything.

Yes. Also much more cushioned/insulated, they almost feel like carpet. Despite looks and feel however, they're bulletproof and will wipe clean from any mud, snow, or spill. They also have much more coverage than any other - they just about go over every visible surface on the floor pan.

Only downside is the price, they're more expensive than any other option.

    hello neighbor!

i'm about 2 hours east of them.

funny story, in january of 2014, i bought a brz. around april/march, when the weather got nice enough to go on pointless long drives, i drove out to their factory for floor mats.

when i got there, i informed them of the car year/make/model i had, they checked stock, then immediately informed me that they couldn't verify fitment in the vehicle and were hesitant to sell me floor mats. i laughed, asked them to run the check tool as a 2013 brz(first official year of production), and same thing. they existed, were a stock item, but they couldn't verify if they fit. i offered to take the extra time for them to test and verify fit while i had the car there, and was declined--that was an entirely different department that didn't communicate with the customer service department i was talking with person-to-person. i made it clear i had the car right outside, and the rest of the day to blow off. they finally agreed to sell them to me, but with a bunch of caveats that they were worried they wouldn't fit, and required a manager to override the sale to allow me to purchase them.

since that experience, and their unwillingness to work with a new model year, i don't really see a reason to support the brand. i prefer to support brands that look to better themselves via active feedback with customers, and weathertech clearly indicated to me in that exchange that they 'know better', so i'll leave them to 'knowing better,' while i support any of the other brands that better value their customer feedback.

Huh never heard of someone having that problem.

Personally I'd have over looked that and might have seen that as them wanting to make sure that they give the right products to their customers every time rather than something that *may* fit and tarnish their name. Plus that was 10 years ago and things may be different now :notsure:

for the significant increase in cost over alternatives, i can't justify poor service.

Unfortunately they don't appear to have anything but 3rd gen models. And not even for my 14 RAV

    Oh well

I still dont see it. If I cannot guarantee that my goods or services will be up to what I advertise I wouldn't sell them either. I've made custom parts on my 3d printer for many many people and wouldn't sell something to someone without truly knowing if it would work and live up to their specifications cuz that's not good customer service either.

Take a look at the 3D Maxpider. They are the "poor man's" tuxmat - it's a soft rubberized mat that feels very similar to the tux, and have about the same shape and liquid capacity as a weathertech. Side by side, you can just barely tell that the tux has a thicker foam backer to it, but on daily driving, I can't tell the difference between the two feel-wise. The primary differences would be shape and brand recognition.

I do believe that the 3d's are available for 2nd gens. This is what I've been running in my Tacoma for the past year or so, no complaints.

I was running the hard plastic Husky/Gator liners prior to that, and these beat those by a mile. They're much more comfortable on the foot. The one thing that the plastics did have over this, however, was the deep channels: meaning that they would be superior if you're tracking a ton of snow. On the Maxpiders you'd probably be stomping in a puddle for the entire drive.

One of these days I'd like to do a long term on the X-act so that I have a feel on all of them. So far though, I am a fan of the tux and 3d brands.

Its not unjustified poor service. I think there is also a legal aspect to it. If the sold item isn't an exact fit and it gets loose and somehow depresses your brake pedal... well they could potentially have a lawsuit against them

I recently went to a full service car wash where the crew removed drivers mat and when installing, mistakenly placed over acceleration peddle instead of behind or under. I noticed when I pulled out and stopped and had them replace it properly. Just saying… ultimately the driver is responsible for what floor mats they use and proper installation. We shouldn’t be so quick to place blame on the manufacturers. We buy what we want and we decide what we use.

I got Husky and I like them a lot. Have used weathertech in the past, Husky seem better. Weathertech fold over after awhile

I've had these for 3-4 years now, I work at a concrete plant and get in my truck every day with heavy sometimes very muddy work boots and they are holding up well.

I use Weather Tech floor liners in the winter, OEM Toyota all-weather mats (which it came with) in the summer. The Weather Techs do fine at catching all of the winter snow, water, salt and debris, but don't fit real tight/exact in some places in the front. Also: you can't just hose them off to clean: Even with a scrub-brush and soap, they don't look clean. The Toyota ones do a better job of catching all of the dry "summer" stuff. (leaves, grass, sand, grit, etc).

I know someone who has the Husky's and they look like they fit tighter against all of the surfaces where they need to. If I had to do it again, I'd get them instead.

No money, all went to truck...
don't get the standard Husky liners. They suck, they are hard and rigid and don't form fit. Constantly curling up.

I guess the newer one is OK. I might answer it.

Pics, I have a access cab so I would only need the front seat area, I'm guessing they would work?

I noticed the passenger side is missing the holes that keep the mat from sliding around, what's that about?
