it's been leaking for a while. the high centering didn't cause it.

 

I think imma try to make my own bumper when dad finally gets him a welder. Im sick of lookin at all the expensive ass prices.

I attempted that today, only to realize the bolt is in the wrong direction and the only way to get it out is to drop the whole pack

 

oh no lol. so the top bolt is coming out into the frame?

 

yeah, the only way I can get to it is to just take the whole damn leaf pack out, fix the shackle and put it back in.

 

that stinks. kinda funny though.....to end up in the situation you are in, you had to put everything together in exactly the wrong order. any other order and something wouldn't have fit and you would have realized. bad luck i gues.

 

Well I was going fast, tired as hell cause I finished at midnight, and it was the last thing to do before I was done.

 

happens to the best of us. woke up one morning after drinking and working on the trucks with a friend and we both had extra bolts and no idea what they went to.

 

sounds like the problem to me, especially since the passenger side is Bank 1 on our trucks.

doesnt the rear o2's just tell the computer that the vehicle has operatable cats? or is it different in tacomas.

 

don't know, but i figure a substancial leak could throw off the mixture of gasses that gets to the sensor enough to make it throw a code.

 

well if im correct the rear o2's just tell the computer that your cats r working efficently. the front o2;s are the ones u gotta be worried about

You are correct, but the fact that he has an exhaust leak is what is setting his code, since the O2 sensor isnt reading the proper values.

its atleast 3/16''. Probably thicker like 1/4'' because its the mount point.
