    Just remember the linger you wait the more the friction material inside of the trans wears and flakes off. So if you do a flush it could end up very badly.

    I still think thats an old wives tale, i have never seen a problem caused from flushing a tranny. Unless of corse the wrong fluid is used or proper fluid level is not verified afterwards, but otherwise just a flush wont cause problems.

    When I worked at Honda we stayed away from them because 90% of the time flushes came back because they were slipping. Same with fords. They don't care so they do flushes then they will come back.

    We do flushes all the time, they used to be included in the regular 30k service, but now they are sold extra, never had a problem with one, and i've done them on everything from toyotas, infinitis, nissans, mazdas, and more.

    I always figured by time a ford needed a flush it was time to junk it anyway:p. Didnt know they lasted much longer than that.:D

    Actually, let me clarify, i have in fact seen "slipping" problems following a trans flush, BUT ONLY because the tech doing the trans flush did not verify proper fluid level after performing the flush. When done right, i have yet to see a problem.

    A machine hooks up in line with the transmission and replaces all of the fluid where as dropping the pan or pulling the plug you only end up replacing 3-4 quarts, the machine does 12 quarts. Some machines would be in-line or we also have machines at my shop that would use the tranny dipstick tube (when available).

    My company http://www.renessenz.com/site/ is hiring 2 full time entry level positions. Basically you would start as a temporary worker in the shipping department. As positions become available you would move up based on seniority to a permanent employee complete with full benefits. This will eventually lead into production jobs where a blue collar man can earn a comfortable living.

    Just finished pulling the leaky rack to send back in. Second time around I felt like a pro. Took me about an hour w/ beer breaks.

    Anyone have tips for unseizing the flare fitting on a power steering hose? The flare fitting on the high pressure hose where it goes into the rack is seized up. Makes it a pain to reinstall and position correctly because you have to spin the entire hose and tighten it down, then reinstall the rack with the hose already on.

    I tried heat for a little bit but was scared of deforming the metal part of the line or lighting any remaining ATF on fire :bananadead:

    And toyota wants $300 for a new high pressure hose....no thanks.

    I sprayed a bit of PB on it. But was very conservative with it because I dont know if it gets into the line and fucks with seals in the rack and shit...
