Morning Fla.,,,,,,,,, K9--- Put the bong away.

 

Hey folks! I'm a local national guard soldier from SWFL. Just don't know how many people are aware, but the government is trying to cut our pay in half! For a normal normal drill weekend, 2 days! Out of a month we work but we get paid for 4 days of pay... This is a nation wide pay cut for all reserve and national guard components. Active duty soldier seem to be upset we get paid so much for little work... In my eyes they fail to see that the money we earn from a drill weekend in a lot of cases covers the expenses to get to and from plus food ect while at drill... We support our selves entirely with our civilian careers... Almost nobody is in the reserves or guard for the pay, but if my pay gets cut I will most likely either barley be able to afford or not afford to get to and from drill at all... If u object to the pay cut make ur voice heard in anyway! Remember national guard and reserves are the first strong force to respond to emergencies in local communities! We may not where our uniform every day but as u can see when there's wild fires and such we are here for u! The community and abroad dealing with federal missions over seas with the war on terror! So please folks fight for ur home side defenders and voice that our pay should not be cut!!!! Have a great day y'all

Just throwing it out there, this Sunday me, my family, and some coworkers will be @ New Symrna beach again hanging out, having fun and grilling if any fellow TW guy/gals would like to join us!!! Let me know and i will let you know exactly where we will be.

 

You can thank our massive debt for that. Maybe we'd have the money to properly pay and give good quality benefits to vets if we didn't waste it all on wars that aren't necessary and have no end. :banghead:

 

hu?? Normally I would follow the line of rational thinking but I'm a little stumped here dude. I saw this overturned fuel tanker on I-4 eastbound as I was driving westbound. The fuel spilled from the tanker, thus the smell of gas. Nobody can ever prove I inhaled from said preverbial "bong"

 

X2 and I can think of several other things we waste money on...Politicians are at the top of the list as they keep getting raises in pay. If a senator or whatever does one term in office they get a pension and medical till the day they die.

Dude I never would get up set..sitting here laughing to myself when I read it trying to figure it out...yeah it went by me..thats ok I'm wired wierd, I don't get much shit. I never get upset tho. unless someone fights my dog then I get more upset than the dog gets

 

The boys from the 60's also got shit on. Did you know V.N. was not a war, It was a cop action, You know we were there to look for bald tires and cracked windshields.. The US constitution says the only job of the Gov. is to keep us safe from outside assholes but look what they do with the big bucks they get from all of us.... Actually a cracked windshield is not a violation anymore. Glad you guys got to use the crap outta it!!
