for you towing experts, is it safe to add like 3 of these in a row to extend the tongue on your trailer?

 

no

those have play in them. if you linked a bunch together, you can create a bunch of kenetic energy when the tongue bounces up and down. enough that you could shear right through a hitch pin, or seriously bend an adapter or your hitch.

 

what exactly are you trying to do? I'll build you something safer, just please don't make an erector set trailer tongue.

i'm trying to make the ULTIMATE towing machine


so i've got this double jet ski trailer, and i wanted to build bunks and put a third one on there in front and have it positioned sideways. The problem would be getting it in and out of the water. I can't add a longer tongue because 1.5 more feet and it won't fit in the garage, so i thought about the swing tongue bracket with a longer tongue, but then I was thinking these would be cheaper and easier. So now, i've come up with the genius idea to just tow it regularly, and when i put it in the water, throw on like 2 adapters, and i'm GOOD

 

that sounds much better. swing tongues are nice though if you could get someone to weld one on. we have one on our powerboat trailer that works great. thing has a huge tongue weight too, so you know it's strong

 

Na they fit good...When I get back from Orlando I will upload some pics, or I can text them to whoever wants to PM me. They aren't totally tight but honestly they fit really snug and the material seems like it can take a beating...I mean honestly they have great reviews so they speak for themselves

 

yea it does sound like a safer idea, good call on the kinetic energy, jeez it's been years since i've taken physics.

 

in regards to seat covers, i actually had the oem accessories one, they go for about 150 new only for the fronts though they didn't make the backs, but they worked really well, repelled water like no other, it was amazing and thick, looked good, and no back sweat, but I didn't think seat covers were my thing, so i sold them on here

ok thanks. i’ll see what they say. kinda got a busy day. got to wash, vacuum, do rear diff breather, blue LED’s on the shifter. the light is out. so i’m changing it. also want to try and do the fog anytime, and i’d like to look at the mod for the blinkers, that ties the parking/marker lights in to the blinker. all before the meet Saturday.
