I don't worry about a vault or taking my gat out. If someone wants to steal my shit then they will. It would suck but I can always buy a new one.

 

Yeah not for overnight, but for instance going to football game or post office or courthouse, etc.

personally I never leve my gun in my truck ever. The only thing from keeping a bad guy from your gun is a window. he can lay in wait for your return then, when you have that oh shit moment put 2 in your head. plus you also keep sstuff with your name on it with your address like registrations, garage door openers etc...bad juju meng. getchya a little hideout gat and put it where you can get to it on your person. then go to the range and practice wit it...dominus ominus you a gangsta

 

console vaults are good for one thing going to the range and back. other than that they are a pita.

 

i figure if someone's gonna break into your truck and wants what's in your center console, that they're gonna get it. it's not hard to pop out a console vault and take it home to open with you to open on your own theiving time.

so in why not save some money and just lock the center console to keep out the half assed crooks

 

A pal of mine put a old flat ammo box under the rear seat, 4 bolts with jb weld on the inside threads. 2 Locks on the box keeps all his truck papers in there and the 9mm when it cant go where he is going. Most scumbags are in a rush so I would say something out of the way like that is best ..The thing looks like if you wanted to get into it,, it would be torch time or a 4 ft crow bar. . Scumbags are in and out smash grab and run. They are looking for the EZ ones glove box under the seat not something that takes time or makes a lot of noise to get.. Plus it only cost him half a day and 20 beans...

 

thats a good idea an all but at that point it's not really for personal protection..to hard to get too.but a great way to transport to the range. also be careful for when the cop asks for registration. make sure he lets the officer know theres a gun in there. bad things can happen if the cop sees it first. by the way i'm in your front yard
