6" lift = Drop Bracket Lift aka DB lift

You lose ground clearance with a DB lift

Then look at lift spindles (Camburg or Total Chaos) you get about 4" of lift then

I recommend the lift FearNothing mentioned.

I'm personally not a fan of the DB lifts - they look too much like cheap Tonka trucks after those. :p

Yes, that is Seminole. I have wanted to get out there for a long time. Finally needed to get away for a bit last night so that's where I ended up. I went east on spur rd and then turned left at the end and followed this very long trail all the way back to the main trail. No signs when I first entered that trail, but at the exit there were "closed to vehicles" signs. But I am sooo looking forward to going back and exploring more, want to get to the north side and maybe go check out the river.

Nice, that's the one. It's a cool place. I fished and walked a little ways up the river at the bridge, but had no luck. A guy was on the bank by the parking area catching cats. Not too much as far as wheeling goes, but definitely a good place to clear your head.

haha, i thought db lift = douche bag lift, haha, i personally LOVE the look of them, i think with big enough tires, they look perfect, but I don't really know much about performance and what else it does to the truck

the reason a drop bracket is designed the way it is, is because it needs to keep the front differential in the same location, while raising the truck. since you are 2wd, it's pointless to use a lift that is designed to carry a differential. spindles are deffinately the way to go. yes, they only give you 4'' of lift, but you can use them in addition to the 3'' lift you already have. that's7'' total, so it's bigger than a drop bracket, and litterally all 7 inches of lift are added ground clearance, wheras a drop bracked (not including larger tire) actually yeilds about -1'' of ground clearance under the front skid.

i still read it as douche bag half the time out of habit lol.

    cheaper than a drop bracket.

you're done with the semester already.....no excuses to be tired, not even fishing ;)

I am still new to lifting trucks... this is my first one ive actually lifted... So unless i can buy it in a kit or find a shop that i really really trust not to screw me over i prob will not get it done... not to mention money is always a huge factor.

we've had mod days before where we get a group of guys together and work on trucks. with the right group of guys, we could get any lift put on in a single day.

i know that doesn't help the money thing though
