I saw the pics and I like that mount. I considered gun magnets but your solution would probably be easier and wont damage the finish on the slide.

I'm curious to see how the adhesive will hold up once it starts heating up again.

I am too. I've heard this velcro holds up quite well in extreme heat which is why I chose it.

I'm going to be pissed if it gets all gummy and just falls off.

Have any pics of this gun magnet you're talking about?

I dont know what she wants to do, she may just keep it in her garage. Budbuilt is gonna ship the rest of our stuff out tomorrow I think. That way I can start installing it all.

Pics not showing up on tapa talk but I have had good luck with putting super glue on the sticky side before putting it on.

I've never had good luck with super glue either, but this stuff, according to the reviews, holds up pretty well in extreme temperatures. Only time will tell!

If it doesn't, then the left over adhesive damn well better be easy to remove with some Goo Gone! My OCD will go nuts.

Yeah that should hold up for about a year, but you may eventually need to super glue the Velcro.

What if the velcro says, "Industrial Strength" on it? :p

From home depot, with I think 3 rectangles of each? That's what I use. Its good stuff but the heat and weight of the pistol will peel it.

I don't thinj he is having it in there for extended periods of time. I believe it should last long time seeing how it will only be in there when he is in the truck

Just a striped lower? Will and I saw two complete 6.8 lwrc rifles at a shop here in Orlando. You could always sell the 6.8 upper and keep the lower.
