My old neighbor had the real deal one. My sis hung out with his daughter and I was offered a ride but I passed because I was shy and it was only two seater. I don't know what the hell I was thinking.

Maybe later but I don't want to spend the money on it now plus I would probably wait until my power train warranty is up anyways.

Chris, stop on by florida. I've been freezing my ass off in VA this week for thanksgiving with the family, but the weather thing on my desktop has said high of 84 and sunny the last three days in Melbourne (east coast)

got an hour drive back to melbourne....might get back there around 1am. then class at 8 am monday. goona be fun i just can't wait to wear shorts again!

 

oh yeah, about getting high-centered, it's a lot easier to cross that kind of obstacle at an angle. head on for dips and humps like that makes it easy to high center, as well as catch your rear end. you don't have to worry about damage with your dbi rear bumper, but it can get you stuck just the same. just a little tip they told us in an off road class i took this summer

Thanks. I'm sure that would have helped a ton had I known I wouldn't have made it far. I wanted to get over it and drive straight up the steeper mound on the other side but that didn't happen The front of my tire was just inches from pulling the rest up. If I had more speed...

Yea, it was the 80's when it snowed in Pensacola. I didn't have anything to get around with back then, just the bike and the wife sold cars back then and drove a demo.

Damn Jason, that's a hell of a jamb to be in and for that prick not to help... Wonder if a long steel rod with a sledge hammer would have helped? Pound it in the ground on an angle away from the truck and winch it out.

I'm sure the rod would have. I may have to experiment with it. If I was really desperate I probably could have taken the hilift apart and hammered it into the ground but my dad was only 15 minutes away and it was getting dark soon.

 

Good thing you were close by then. Glad you got out. Hard to think of everything to have in the tool box.
