those look nice jason. you recall what wattage LEDs they are using. those are awefully big cooling fins for a 3w.

 

I wasn't sure so I took a screen shot from the site.

so I got my tires in yesterday and my spacers had come in while i was at work today, so I hurried on over to the hobby shop and for $48 i got my tires mounted and balanced

shes a real beauty now , although there is a little rubbing issue with the mudflaps, but that can be fix easily and it only happens when fully turned

not real sure, i just have it hooked between the cb antenna and the cb radio, i was lookin at it with another member, and the needles jump back and forth ok, but i'm sure it could be "tuned" better

 

Alfuh, those tires and spacers make those wheels look pretty damn nice man!

 

So of course I had to see how these lights looked at night. Sitting in my driveway with my neighbor holding the lights while I held the power wire. Here is a slight before and after. They are seriously bright to the point that I am second guessing my idea of using them for fog lights. And it's hard to tell in the picture, but they were lighting up the trees and houses in the distant part of the picture.

 

I love my 265/75s. Its a great size, doesnt rub but a bit larger than stock. Nice truck!

 

thanks man! ya i am really impressed with how the tires and spacers turned out, Ill prob end up getting new black 16s in the future that have less backspacing to make the spacers even more sexy, since I bought these nittos for a 16" rim

and that light is bright as hell lol

Keep em aimed down buddy, I had to adjust mine when I moved them to the fogs. I still feel like they light up too many trees, but no one has flashed me yet.

I was seriously surprised and impressed with these. I never thought the off brand would be that bright. I still have to figure out how and where to mount them on the bumper. Hopefully I will have that in my possession tomorrow.

 

You have it hooked up all the time? 'Cause as I understand it, you're only supposed to put it in when tuning the antenna then remove it for normal use.

Yeah you aren't supposed to have it in all the time. Its just for tuning purposes

 

mathematically, there's no reason any offbrand can't compete with a rigid, vision-x, baja designs, etc. if they use cree or other quality LEDs, all they have to do is amke sure the power supply can keep up. all it really takes after that is halfway decent reflector bowls. the areas you might see the difference in is the material/finish quality, and durability. like the couple of guys with black annodized bars having them fade to gold in a matter of months.

 

Anyone know what the rev limiter on a 3.4L V6 kicks in at?

 

nope, but i know a quick way to find out......
