any tips on rear diff locks? not 100% sure what they do, but I have an idea what they do, and my 06 Prerunner 2wd doesnt have one and id like to get one for it, prob be good since im gonna be doin a good bit of offroading

If you have a TRD offroad you should have a rear locker.

lol guys, I was wondering about it, saw that lookin for other parts and wondered if my truck had it. I thought there was a switch or button to turn on the rear lock...maybe im just completely missing how to turn it on

 

I don't think the prerunner came with a rear diff lock I'm pretty sure it was only the 4x4 versions that got them

 

Alfuh .. It's a button on the left side of steering wheel . Next to fog light switch ... Should say rr diff lock , if I'm not mistaken
Simply be in drive at a stop ..hit the button and move forward slowly, you may have to turn left or right slightly while moving forward ... You should hear a click in the rearend and a light indicator on instrument panel (gauges) will light up
Sometimes reverse instead of forward

But yes , if you have an actual "trd offroad" and not just the sticker (like some wannabes, Nam) you have an e-locker rear diff

Holding phone sideways or landscape , I see all but the very ass end of my truck and screen name)

I guess it's my phone , cause ckeene your sig is viewing the same for me ...but Jason(tech) sig pic is viewing in it's entirety no matter how I hold my phone

ok ya, then I gotta double check, but last I looked, I didnt have that button, and thats gonna be a bit disappointing with it just being a sticker and not actually the TRD Offroad version, Ill have to double check but I dont think I have it

 

oh no, just looked through ur pics, it's just the trd sticker, u don't have a power outlet in ur bed
and also, by looking at ur sticker, it doesn't look oem

 

hey alfuh, it looks like u bought urs from a dealer, honestly man, if that was me, I'd look back at the paperwork or if they advertised it and u kept the print or the screenshot of it being advertised as a trd off road, i'd go raise hell. If they didn't and the sticker was just on there, then u can't really do much. they might not wanta do much for you, but at least try to get some free service or some kind of compensation
