in all honesty, im not really too worried about it man, I got the truck for a good price anyways for what it is, and the power thing in the bed, you mean the outlet thing next to the hitch? I have one of those, thats prob not what youre talkin about though, either way, its something that can be fixed so it can truely be a TRD offroad

i think the only other major differences are the seats, the shocks (which u replaced anyway) and the locker

The bed outlet Nam posted different seats and yellow shocks. So it sounds like yours is a base model with offroad stickers. But really the only thing on the Offroad that's worth it is the Locker. The seats don't really matter, I don't think I have ever used my bed outlet, and you were planning on replacing the shocks anyways. So it really doesn't matter, and honestly the locker really helps offroad but they are pretty expensive aftermarket. So I would just stick with what you have and go to a few meets and see if you get through. If you decide you want to step it up and go through tougher stuff go for the locker. And me personally, I would get sliders before the locker. They can really save you some serous damage if you get in a bind.

Another way to tell quickly (if I'm not mistaken) is the "SR5" on tailgate...a true trd doesn't have the SR5

lolz, ok so what is the difference between the limited slip differential and the actual rear diff lock, im tryin to fully understand what the difference is

I know the diff lock (correct me if Im wrong) supplies power equally to the rear wheels, so if one comes off the ground, the other wont stop spinning, but what is the limited slip diff?

 

hey jason, i gotta q, ur 2 10's what kinda box do you have, is it one of those premade ebay boxes? i was reading into the bottom depth, it says 7.5'', is there ANY more room than that?

Limited slip differentials are considered a compromise between a standard differential and a locking differential because they operate more smoothly, and they do direct some extra torque to the wheel with the most traction compared to a standard differential, but they are not capable of 100% lockup.

in case you were wondering, limited slips came on our older 2nd gen sports, and also some sr5's have them, if you look at the diff, there will be a sticker that says "lsd oil" if you have one

No, there's no extra space back there once that box is in place. The speaker rings almost touch the backs of the seats. There might be 2 inches on each side of the box, but nothing in front of it. If that is what you are asking.

 

yeah, very tight fit with boxes in these trucks. i have good clearance when the seatbacks are up, but when i fold them down it is extremely close.
