    Finally finished rebuilding my little grille. By time I'm done I could have just bought a brand new one. But that wouldn't have been as much fun. Handcrafted new legs out of 3/4x1/8 aluminum and replaced all the leg hardware with stainless.

    I'm thinking about spinning the collars down out of truck then adjusting the lift down since I wont be fighting the springs...ideas?

    Well, thanks to Wes I was able to use my winch tonight for a true recovery. I decided to follow him down a trail that I had my doubts about. Sure enough I made it in and couldn't make it out. Hooked the winch up and pulled myself up the hill to solid ground. That was so much fun though! Here's a pic of Wes entering the trail:

    I'm not sure what your saying, but you won't really be able to adjust the collars with them mounted in the coil bucket. Theres a large break from the tool holes to make room for the Allen bolt that keeps the collar in place when tightened. Once that's facing out you can't really rotate it anymore. I tried going in at an angle with a hammer chisel style but I just started to mess up the holes.

    White, debadged, Mudflaps removed, ICON 2.5 in front, 2.0 in rear, all 4 corners have reservoirs, Spidertrax wheel spacers all around, BAMF bolt on sliders, Avid lightbar, oem transmission cooler converted to power steering cooler, aftermarket transmission cooler eliminating all oem transmission cooler stuff, remote mounted spin on transmission fluid filter TrueTrac rear differential, rear diff housing vented and filtered into left side bed box, URD MAF calibrator, Volant intake scoop into oem airbox, second filter removed, airbox internals smoothed, blended and polished throttle body, NST intake manifold spacer, Wet Okolee set covers, WeatherTech Digital Fit mats, inexpensive JVC single DIN, Scangage, AVS Stepshield door sill protectors, Doug Thorley Long Tube Headers, URD Y pipe with O2 sims.
    A lot more work, but eases the load to wind them with full force on the springs.

    I have wound my ICONS on the truck. Wasn't that bad, but I'm not going for big lift numbers.

    The kings have the holes located in positions that make it very difficult to do in truck. Thanks guys

    Well, I caved in. No more dark smoked tail lights for me. I will redo them at a later date a little lighter than they were before. But I took some of our throttle body cleaner and striped the paint right off. These lights look like brand new.

    vvv Icons are cake to adjust on the truck. kings, not so much.

    I'd be curious if the thread count and pitch are the same on kings and icons. if so, it'd probably be worth it to buy some icon collars and toss them on the kings.

    It was pretty much pitch black where it happened. Wes's truck was up ahead. He was using my stream light to spot for me. If it weren't for Wes it would have been a bitch for me to get out.

    Yea pretty much it was dark out and we were under heavy tree cover to the point where it was pitch black and it was either hit a tree on your right or fall in a deep ditch on your left. There wasn't even space for me to get in front and pull without putting him in the ditch lol. Shoot, even I was stuck for a sec even with 4wd. It was a sweet recovery to say the least.

    I have a few mods
    tail lights look awesome, but I gotta say though, that shop you go to looks very nice, the auto hobby shop I go to here on Eglin AFB is kinda shitty and mediocre, kinda wish there was a nicer one around here

    I don't go there by choice, that's just where I work. It was super slow this afternoon hence me putting my tail lights back to stock. Which is killing me by the way, try look so bright and plain.

    I know the feeling, just couldn't get mine on tape.
