Yeah, I think it's funny all the people pushing for a diesel. Toyota scrapped the idea of a diesel tundra 2 years ago. They won't be making anything diesel anytime soon.

I love snow! half my firends tell me i’m stupid because i’d rather move somewhere like CO or something that gets A LOT more snow, rather than move to the beach. beach is fun and cool, but hell after a week i’m ready to come back to TN.

one think i’m kinda jelly of the FL gets a lot of is rain! I love rain! sometimes i’ll just go drive around in it.
I bet in 2018 or 2020 they may... but only if chevy sells a lot of them with diesels and the tacoma sells drop. I’ll bet it sure as h*** wont come around by 2016 or any soon than 2018 if it ever gets one.

now i hear the tundra is getting a diesel, so like i said sells on tacoma’s drop and chevy sells a lot of the colorado’s with diesels I think toyota may really look at it.

NO IT'S NOT! Like I said in my previous post, Toyota scrapped their idea of a diesel Tundra probably 2 years ago. It is nothing more than a rumor at this point. I spoke with multiple reps about it.

Today is no good for me. Getting ready for my trip home and have meetings all day. Wish I could, though.

I'll likely be up at the dealership on the 26th. You remember what time you come in that day?

I love when it just rains for a whole day or sometimes 3 days here i’ll go drive around go thru a few small creeks i know. allways get out and really look at them before i cross them. but i have crossed a bunch with atvs, and if i feel i can do it in an atv i’ll do it with the truck.

I was told over a year ago that they scrapped it, could have changed, but I personally doubt it. Everyone interested, keep your fingers crossed I guess, I personally don't care for the diesel aspect. Then again, I believe that its not likely to happen, but I could be wrong.

Not sure what the diesel hype is about, higher intial cost, higher maintenance, and higher fuel price.

Yes I know I'm FI and payed more for it and fuel...

i don’t get why so many want on in the taco. just for better MPG? the cast to run a diesel is more all around. i like diesels but only for towing 10k+ I don’t see a real need for one in a mid size truck.

I do kinda wish toyota would make a 3/4 or even a 1 tun truck with a diesel on the tundra line up, like all the big 3 do.

Trucking Mag. has a catch all story on diesel in the 1/2 tons. They say over the next 5 years all 1/2 tons will have them. Towing more & more is what people want.Trucking mag says Toyota is talking with Cummings......... Boating mag is also ripping the 1/2 tons as being all about the luxury and are lost as a true truck. Only time will tell but I DO SEE MORE OIL BURNERS COMING DOWN THE ROAD. I could care less about one myself.. But would love for Toyota to make a true hot rod truck with say 450-500 hp.:D..++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I had a duramax before the taco and I love it. Miss it everyday. If I could get that option in a Taco I'd buy one.
