Yeah, that Bed Coating is some really touchy stuff. It'll run instantly if you don't go on very light with the first couple of coats. Found that out the hard way on my sliders. However, I also found out that you can lightly brush the runs out with a paint brush while they are wet and they'll blend right in.

And yeah, it's not like Bed Liner. It's just paint with a bit of texture (great for non-skid areas like sliders and such).

Oh, and Home Depot has it for cheaper than Autozone.

No. The wiring is there, but none of the rest of the components are. For a diff lock, you'd have to have the E-locker rear end at least. Not sure what else would be required there. For ATRAC, I'm sure there's other stuff required for it to operate (sensors, computer, actuators to apply the brake on the wheel with no traction, etc...not too sure what all is involved with that).

 

Well thats a bummer. Now I have this unused, unloved, and unwanted plug just dangling there behind my dash.

 

But...it would make your life infinitely simpler if you should ever decided to pony up the jack for an E-locker rear end.

BTW, it's not just the one behind the dash. There's one back by the rear end too.

cheer up, the tradeoff is that you have a much stronger rear end

They should've saved the money they spent on the Auto LSD and applied it to something like better leaf springs. It doesn't work for crap!

 

thats what is called a felony forrest. you just need some ddryer sheets hanging out of the air vents to try and throw the dog off!!

 

it's a damn good thing they are fun to work on too, because i feel like i spend 2 minutes of wrench time on them for every 1 minute of run time lol. the quadcopters are the only exception, but that's because i run into a lot less with those lol.

thanksgiving was fantastic. good to see the family after a 7 month gap.

that's unfortunate. i've been so happy with the mechanical LSD (after i got away from the toyota recomemnded oil/mixture).

Thats a thought but if when I put lockers in I am also going to be regearing and was thinking arb lockers.

well, at first, i used the mobil 1 full synthetic (75-90), but i left out the friction modifier LSD additive). that did wonders over dyno oil with the additive. now it's the redline heavy shock proof. redline makes a 75-90 (got that in my transfer case), but the heavy shock proff doesn't have a typical rating.
