Nicko, as for a diff, on Tuesday before Citrus I swapped in a prebuilt third with my Truetrac in it. If you buy a built third and head North, we can do it at my house in the driveway.

The plug and play took me about 2 1/2 hours including getting tools out and put away.

I went Truetrac for simple and pretty effective results. They are popular in many circles.

I did look into the ARB, nice but expensive. Some topics about them, and even some magazine articles caution of leaky air lines or other simple failures, none stopped the action.

The locker is cool, and less expensive, but even per the website, may require a little different technique when driving as the vehicle can tend to push wide under power. Off-road it would be similar to the ARB.

FWIW, there is a guy selling a built third ARB in the classifieds.

Well here's my big situation. I am going to a bigger bumper one day. I am looking at Kings and saw's but also have a 1/2 " spacer to accommodate the bigger bumper. Either way, I was planning on re-doing the front anyhow. I am leaning to the saw's due to the fact that they seem pretty comparable to King's without a hefty price tag. I know nothing can compare to King's but from what I have read saw's are pretty comparable offroad just maybe not on road. That seems ok to me cause I'm hoping that a plate bumper will smooth out the on road experience. Also, worried about the reliability of Saw's (Sway a Way). Kinda concerns me. Anyway was wanting to get any opinions I can.

 

I don't know much about saws but icons with 700# king springs are awesome offroad and onroad in my experience especially with weight upfront. (My skids are pretty thick)

 

I can't help with that, but hurry up and make up your mind. My truck needs those lift spindles. That is if you are still planning in removing them like you mentioned a while back.

 

Do icons Greg. The kings are such a pain to adjust.

 

Im running saw 2.0s on my truck. I like them but they are a little bit ruff going over stuff slowly like speed bumps and mall curbs because they are a 650#coil and I have them cranked up a bit to much. They do ride really nice on the road though

 

fer right now gonna keep the spindles. But glad your so excited, you may get to put them on..lol

Actually if we are going off an average, you guys still only count as 3. Since you wimped out after the last pit and went home, then Paul and his wife left shortly after returning to camp. The SWBs stayed till the end.
