gotta say, m grille is turnin our reaaallly nice. A lot better than what it used to look like, thanks for all the help with that bondo crap

 

Nice. You could fuse just the back up lights, if you want ,,10 or 15 amp. as a warning. What size u think J

 

Haha, thanks Jim. I doubt I ever let it sit for half an hour on purpose. Which explains why I had trouble with it like I did. Artistic stuff like that was never my strong suit. I got probably a little better than decent with sheet metal, but it didn't come naturally to me like it did with some people. I had to work my a$$ off for every ounce of skill I developed.

im heading to autozone to get that silicon so I can start the BHLM tonight, while my second coat was drying on my grille, I went out to my truck and painted the lower valence. I put 4 coats on it and I may put a couple more on tomorrow just to be sure...looks awesome. the grille turned awesome, looks so much freakin better without those stupid holes from the factory grille insert lol.

hey thanks for that can of plasti-dip again. I didnt think the can i had was almost out, got one coat on the grille and it was nearly gone. Had to bust out the can that you gave me and now that one is nearly gone

 

Thanks! However, I just chose the color. Knowing my limitations, I had it professionally prepped and shot. If I had painted it, it wouldn't have looked nearly as good...although it might have if I had a pro do the prep work, smoothing everything out and all. Only thing I painted was the sliders, bedrail caps, and the toolbox.

You're grille did come out nice though. Good work

thanks! Im glad I went back and added some more bondo to the areas and smoothed it out. Looks so much better than what it used to look like without the bondo, just the fiberglass painted over lol

 

Always a side thing more like something you like to do ,but would want to do it full time

 

I kinda wish I had. It would have made future touch ups easier...like those chips and scratches in my bumpers after the meet. I could MAYBE order a quart kit of the Hot Rod Flatz paint and use a Preval sprayer to touch up those areas, but they'll have to get a lot worse before it comes to that.

Also, yours is looking a lot better with that lower valance painted. Makes the grille fit in better than it did before.

Yea nooo they're going back on my truck. I might make a donation toward her set. Might actually go with 305s instead of 315s

 

The little runner isn't so little anymore

 

She's not allowed to have bigger tires then me. I called her tires little too much, I don't think I could deal with her calling my tires little.

 

She's all grow'd up! And puberty was kind to her.
