and plus thats gonna cost a lot to get those on my truck, you got about 3000 you can give me to get an IFS setup?

What's the needs of cv axles for? Dont need them in fl

 

I'm gonna set up a date with Ian next week. I haven't seen the truck but I'm pretty stoked for it!

that 4x4 is anders, and no he didnt. I got like 3/4 of the way through that hole and then got stuck backing out of it, which was kinda stupid. Thats why ive stayed away from that kind of stuff until I get my locker in the rear, or unless im with more than 1 other person lol

it was kind of funny though, since he has a 4 banger and im a dblcb v6 2WD, we were joking that he had an underpowered 4x4 and I had an oversized 2WD

well I think 37s may have a big role with dirty not getting stuck, plus a locker

 

Yeah, the 37s with the locker definitely let him do some impressive stuff. He went up at least one hill I had to use 4WD to get up. Of course, I didn't try following him in 2WD everywhere after that first pit we played in on Friday. It was just too brutal on my worn out clutch and I was too lazy to unlock my front hubs to use 2-Lo for some extra gear. He still would have gone more places than I would in 2WD since I'm open in back and am only on 33s. Still, there was at least one hill the 4WDs went up that he either didn't try or wasn't able to get up. I know Jason tried it unsuccessfully, but he's neither locked or on 37s.



I don't think any of the 2WDs tried the hill that 4banger4x4 and me were posed at the top of for some pictures. Not that I remember seeing anyway...

 

ya I dont remember seeing any go up there, but you guys did hog that hill though lol.

Next year im definitely going to try more since Ill hopefully have my locker in the rear by then and I have a little more experience with crawling around and wheeling. This past Citrus there were some things Ill admit that I was scared of trying, like that hill that took me 4 tries to get up...I have never before then had my truck at any of those angles before. So it was a new experience for me with all of that crawling and am definitely looking forward to next years trip.

 

Haha, if it's the one I'm thinking of, you just needed a little coaching. You came right up once I gave you that advice.

But yeah, I hear ya. There was some stuff I lacked the confidence (read: I was too chicken shit) to try myself that now I really wish I had. Especially since I'd have been the only one to make it had I done so successfully.

I probably would have made it if I were locked. And as for the 2nd hill. I couldn't even try cause there were 2 1st gens blocking my way. Hogging the hill.

 

Jeez, you guys make it sound like we were parked there all day.

We were only up there for 10-15 minutes tops. And that was only because we were distracted by Dirty 37s giving us a photo op followed by the gray 4WD stocker getting stuck in his ruts right about at the bottom of the path. (That, and I wasn't looking forward to climbing back up there to my truck on foot, lol.)

If you wanted to try it, all ya had to do was ask. I'd have moved for ya right away.
