I was going to say this same thing but you beat me to it while I was tucking in my son. Tires will add clearance for the axle and control arms though.

Also, if suspension lift increases frame and body clearance. Why doesn't a body lift increase body clearance

Ive been debating this same issue since I got my new truck. It is 4wd but I am use to having the security of a winch and solid bumper but at the same time am not happy with its stance as far as suspention. I cant do both at the time "$" so I decided to just be patient, build my bumper first (I have the winch) so then I can see what it does to the front end . That way I can do the lift right the first time with the correct coils for the weight and can get the level stance I am wanting with out having to go back and change crap and waste money on alignments. Thats my plan, now if I stick to it or not , time will tell. :D

Look into the Firestone lifetime alignments, ~$180 for unlimited alignments. You're going to need them after wheeling and suspension changes.

I've only had that issue once, took it to a different one that understood what I wanted and haven't had an issue.

    I have a few mods
well then lol, I would like the bumper for looks, I dont plan on getting a winch *yet* so that extra weight wouldnt be there. but I have time so I can save up because the new suspension setup costs $2700 from downsouth motorsports in total and the bumper somewhere around $700-800 hopefully. Ill prob end up just going with the suspension first and see how much I get back from taxes and go from there. I do want that bumper though

ya sure Ill go grab some of them :D

Yes, don't waste your time if you're going to get locked. Then again I didn't notice any help when open.

Not sure where you are in O-Town but the one in Winter Springs did my 33's.

Ill check into that, might have a little heart ta heart with the manager so we all know what we are getting into before I pay for it. Ive used the same local tire shop since my first yota over 15 years ago and they are great for getting things right when something needs a little ajusting . But still if I show up 2 months after "I" change something , yeah , i'm paying. So life time is a good Idea.
