Florida B.S. Thread

Broke mine on gregs truck this weekend and then broke minne and another guys 1/2" at the shop. 3 of them in 2 days. And now yours. Must be that time of the month for half inch adaptors

 

Well it removed both my axle nuts without a problem but when it broke it took my cv's threads with it so now I have a problem...

 

Yeah mine didnt cause any side. Effects. Not sure how bad it is but you can try using a thread file

 

yea it's done lol

 

ouch. you might try grinding or sanding off the gummed up thread and tapper it into the start of the good threads. I do it at work with allthread sometimes. just a thought, not saying it will or wont work for your application

 

I'm gonna see if napa has any in stock closeby too

 

yeah do that first and then try a salvage this one once your truck is back together. at least youll have a spare

 

Yea that's the least of my worries. My biggest worry is that the tie rod on that same side was seized up and now has no thread either. It's on and holding but not all the way down. So there's still some play in it.

 

I know a guy with some parts just lying around Wes.

 

I was going to mention the same. Especially since he will be at the shop today. Maybe you could join us at the 4r in longwood around 2 today.

 

If he comes he should bring a passenger side cv I'm gonna replace the tie rod end before heading up there so I don't die on 95

 

I'm still going to check with parts, but we don't typically stock them. Though maybe today will be different. But maybe we can talk Tim into joining. So far its us and Mike. Greg wont be coming to the shop cause he's coming to my house tomorrow.

 

Gotcha I might just get one from napa later on if I can't get Tim's.
